Why a clipping tool needs an API, not just a dashboard

A polished dashboard is table stakes, but it assumes a human is the trigger: someone logs in, uploads a file, waits, downloads clips. For creators and agencies running this at any real volume, that manual loop is the bottleneck.

An API changes the shape of the workflow entirely. A new episode drops into a shared drive, an automation (Zapier, n8n, or a custom AI agent) picks it up, calls the clipping API directly, and the clips land wherever they need to — Slack, a review queue, straight to scheduling — without anyone opening a dashboard at all.

This is why OptimaClip ships API access on the Creator tier and up, rather than gating it behind an enterprise-only 'contact sales' plan: automation shouldn't be a luxury feature.
